I’ve learned a lot from the Internet, and I do my best to give back.
Throughout the years, I tried to share as much as I could in different formats: text, audio, video, etc. But the only medium that stuck with me, and the one I keep coming back to, is text.
- Text is focus. Reading is active attention.
- Text is about the extraction of signal; audio and video are often just high-entropy entertainment.
- Text is searchable, fast, and allows for the via negativa—the removal of the unnecessary.
- Text does not rely on proprietary plumbing or fragile, transient APIs. It has survived for centuries and will continue to survive.
- Text is easy to keep up to date.
Text is a superpower. It doesn’t just win; it remains.
