The moment I need to start a chat with an AI to get something done, the friction is already too high.
I know that sounds wrong in 2026. Most of what we have are copilots, agents, and assistants we prompt all day. I use those too. But the AI I really love is quieter.
When Google Photos started grouping my pictures by face, I didn’t ask for it. I didn’t write a prompt. One day, the faces just appeared, sorted.
I have an agent that labels my notes in the background. I don’t prompt or explain what a note is about. It just works automatically.
Those are the applications I care most about. Something that fades into the background and makes my life easier.
